MEET THE MISSIONARIES
Jay and Sumter got married during their senior year at Clemson University. During that time God called them to serve on the mission field in Kenya. They have been living in Kenya serving the Samburu people since 2018. Their prayer is for God’s church to be established in Northern Kenya now and forever and for the region to be transformed by the light of the gospel. They have been blessed with three children.

MEET THE TEAM
Nicholas was one of the many fruit produced by initial evangelism efforts. His love for God’s Word continues to shape his life. Nicholas joined the Nkishon team in 2020 as a pastoral intern. He has a clear calling to full-time pastoral ministry with a heart to shepherd God’s people. Currently, Nicholas is undergoing rigorous pastoral training while he is given opportunities to exercise his gifts in ministry: preaching, leading the men’s ministries at the church, and translating sermons every Lord’s Day. Nicholas is married and blessed with four children.
Nicholas Lekesier
Prior to officially joining the Nkishon team in 2020, Dorcas helped establish initial evangelism efforts among the Samburu people. These evangelism efforts were the seeds that God used to plant His church. Dorcas is passionate about translating biblical resources into the Samburu language so that her people have access to grow in their knowledge of God. In addition, Dorcas helps lead the women’s and children’s ministries at the church. Dorcas is married and blessed with two daughters.
Dorcas Lemosian
Lkanuel was the first to join the Nkishon team in 2019 as he played a pivotal role in initial evangelism efforts. Lkanuel is a gifted leader among his people and among the church. His heart is to see his people transformed by the power of God’s Word. He serves by overseeing the operational side of ministry and coordinating church events. Lkanuel is married and blessed with two children.
